There are a lot of things that is good to bring in your bag to Tanzania, but some times you do not have the luxury and the space, or the time to prepare everything. That is why we have made some lists for you about what to pack in your suitcase.

We have divided it into the things you need, the things you should bring, and the things you can bring because it is convenient. We call the last point “extras/gadgets”.

In addition to this you need to pack some essential things in your hand luggage. We have divided that into the same categories.

Need in the suitcase!

  • Your toilet bag
  • Medicine
  • Chargers for your electrical devices such as cameras, cell phones and so on
  • Flash light with extra batteries
  • Hat, to protect your head from the sun which is always just above your head
  • Swimming costume
  • Sun lotion, minimum protection 30 – 60
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Clothes that cover your arms and legs after dark to protect for mosquitoes
  • T-shirts
  • Short pants
  • Underwear
  • Solid shoes, either hiking shoes or sneakers
  • Solid sandals, for your walks during the day (unless you pack them in your hand luggage)
